Market Open

Good morning from the farm! We are opening a day late this week because I was in Charlotte this weekend celebrating my Dad’s 80th birthday! Also, a shoutout to my hometown Buffalo Bills for their win :)
My entire family takes our Bills as serious as most folks do of ‘the Dawgs’ around here!
I’m back and have a French menu for you this week. Enjoy the deeply warm and comforting choices of soups and stews we have. Brown Bakehouse is back too!!!! And with a delightful surprise, she has new items!! Pizza dough and bagels are an addition to her regular offerings.
Stay warm this week! It looks like a frigid one!

This Week at the Market - Italian!

Buon pomeriggio!!!! Or “good afternoon,” in Italian!
Yes, this week we are doing all Italian cuisine. Try the soups, fresh made pasta or desserts!
We’re trying to stay warm here on the farm, but those temps are brutal sometimes! The greens are still hanging in there, thankfully! Brussels Sprouts are growing and broccoli and cauliflower are slow. Cabbages are almost ready!
These days we are resting and planning. The seed orders are almost in and the seed trays will be starting soon! If you have a particular interest in a veggie, let me know now! I will have tomato plants available for purchase again this year, and maybe some other veggies or herbs.
Stay warm!

This Week at the Market

Welcome back! We’re open with some great healthy soups and a couple salads to start off your new year. Time to get back into the swing of things and eat nutritious foods!

We still don’t have eggs yet…. These temps and short days still have them on strike.

Check out the grits we have listed from Buckeye Creek Farm! They’re freshly ground and delicious!!!

Brown Bakehouse will be a couple weeks before sourdough is back. In the meantime, we still have the starter if you need any.

Have a great week and stay warm!!

Happy New Year!!!

Wishing you all a happy and prosperous 2024!

We will be opening today around noon with a “get back on track” healthy menu!! Then next week we will be doing our round the world regional cuisines.

Thank you for all the support of the market this past year as well as the friendships that have developed in meeting such wonderful people. I feel blessed beyond measure!

Cheers!

Clarification

Just want to clarify…. the famrstand at the road will close until March, but the online market will stay open for ordering each week.

This Week at the Market

Hanukkah is underway and Christmas is coming soon! We have cookie boxes available and breads this week too! I do not have a lot of prepared foods this week as we are doing the Taste of Cherokee Market on Saturday and will bring lots of our bakery items to taste and sell, as well as gift baskets, and canned items. Brown Bakehouse will have sourdogh breads there for sale instead of on the market. Come by and see us noon til 4pm.

Next week my daughter will be delivering my grandson!! That being said, I will not be doing my usual Christams menu this year. I will have a similar offering as this week with baked goods and our soups. Also, since she will be recovering, the sourdough breads will be on hold for a couple weeks.

Since we have had bad weather every single weekend, I am closijg down the farmstand for the season. We will reopen March 1st for spring.

Have a great week!

The Market is Open!

It’s been a busy day, but we’re finally open!

Running Late Today

We will be open today, just a bit late!!!
Monday morning hit me with a lot of appointments, so we will be opening this afternoon.
Stay tuned for lots of soups, greens, and Christams Cookies!

This Week at the Market

The Holidays are underway, the houses are lit, the weather is cool, and Christmas carols are in the air! What a wonderful time of year!

We finally have our salad bags back! Just a few to start, but they’re coming in nicely now. Also added are a few turnips. We will be starting more microgreens this week so those will be a while.

Back are the soups! I know a few of you have been missing these – sorry! I am going to be adding a shelf stable section of soups and have them pressure canned so we always have backup!

Have a great week!
