The holidays are upon us!

I took doen the Halloween decor and brought out the Christmas boxes to start spreading holiday joy on the farm! I love this time of year, and having a grandchild (and one due around Christmas!) makes it so much better!

I’ve added our holiday items for preview only so you can plan ahead.
I am changing up my schedule a bit this month to accomodate for preparing all the goodies.
Market days will be as follows:

  • This week – normal – order M-W for Saturday pick up.
  • 11/13-15 No Market – Special orders available
  • 11/15 – 11/19 – Ordering opens for Thanksgiving Market – Pick up Wednesday 11/22

Have a grest week!

This Week at the Market

Well, this is one of those weeks where we have every single season in one week! I was able to fix up the greenhouse replacing deteriorating panels and prepping for the cold weather while it was 80 degrees. I enjoyed hanging around and listening to live music in light fall attire this weekend, and now…. hold on because winter is coming for a few days! I’m hoping all the tender starts will be ok, but looks like this will be the last for the flowers! I’ll be covering as much as I can to save peppers and squash so they keep going!
Have a great week!

Lots of goodness going on here at the market! Take a look!

A reminder that we are a recycling market of all our jars and containers. I do not believe in buying plastics only to be used once and tossed away. I try to incentivize reuse by giving market credits for returned containers. Just swap out your order for returns in your cooler every week and I will (try to remember) credit your account for the next order. Please feel free to remind me if I forget to credit!

Thanks for your support of our small farm and market!

We’ve got lots of fall comfort foods as well as healthy goodies! We hope you enjoyed our new sourdough baker – Brown Bakehouse! She’s just starting her sourdough endeavors and loves using Joyful Noise Acres starter! Get the wet or dried starter on the market to try your own.
Have a great week!

Good morning! It’s a chilly one! We had a great time stoking up a bonfire this weekend and had our first farmhouse fire in the living room. So toasty with a mug of warm spiced cider :)
I will be headed to the apple farm today to get a fresh load of apples and jars of cider so look for those in the stand tomorrow and as long as they last.
You’ll notice some new products this week! Joyful Noise Acres joins us with their sourdough starter – fresh or dried. Also, to add to our allergy fighting arsenal is her herbal tea.
Also, joining us is Gabi Brown with Brown Bakehouse. She uses the newly added starter to make a sourdough boule. Try one for your soups!
This week I got all the lettuces iin the ground and they are doing well despite the frigid temps! It will take a few more weeks before harvesting these, but we should be stocked through the fall and early winter for greens (provided the bunnies and deer stay out!).
Enjoy these wonderful fall days!

Happy Fall!!! Aren’t you loving this weather. Such a great time of year when things are still growing like crazy, the leaves are changing, there’s cool and crisp mornings and tons of festivals!
The farmstand has been stocked with lots of goodies lately and the market is brimming with goodness too!
All the plants are in except the lettuces and with temps looking like they’ll stay below the 80s, I will get them in the ground soon.
Eggs will continue to be scarce since the chickens are in full molt! It’s like a down pillow exploded out there! I’ll up their protein levels so they will pick up again in a couple weeks.
Have a great week and thank you for supporting local!

We sure are enjoying this fall weather! After spending the day planting and working on the farm, we all went to the Cherokee County Fair. It was my granddaughter’s first, so there were lots of pictures taken! I cannot wait to head up to Burt’s Pumpkin Farm again this year with her now that she’s a toddler.

So far I’ve got peas, beans, zucchini, butternut and buttercup sqaush, cauliflower, bok choy, and cucumbers planted from the greenhouse starts. Next up, broccoli, spinach, kale, swiss chard, Brussels Sprouts, fennel, dill, beets, turnips, and all the lettuces! Phew! That’s a lot of goodness to grow!

The hens are deciding to take a break. I am not getting enough to put eggs on the market right now, but will have them in the stand if I have extra on Saturday.

Don’t forget the stand is always open and has our white pumpkins, lots of Ellijay apples, our handcrafted vanilla extracts, jams, honey, bell peppers, a small amount of beans and figs as they come in.

Have a great week!

Sorry for the late opening! I had errands to do this morning and am just now able to get everything listed.

Fall is here (or at least ot FEELS like it)! YAY! Now we can do pumpkin everything!

All the seedlings are doing well in the greenhouse and are almost ready to go in the ground….. they’re just waiting on me to finish the plots. I’ve been busy pulling up the old and amending the soil so hoping this week to get them in!

Have a great week! Enjoy getting back outside and enjoying the weather.
