We love providing food for your families and strive to be better at that every year. The ingredients are fresh, and locally grown where possible. The recipes are intended to be lower in sodium and stick to a clean, whole food concept. Menus rotate weekly to give a varied selection.
I’d like to get some feedback to help our market keep evolving. If you can take a moment and answer the following questions, it would be greatly appreciated!
1. Are there any items you would like to see added?
2. Would you prefer more entrees offered? Which meal – breakfast, lunch or dinner?
3. Is there a better day to pick up your order, or is Saturday still the best?
4. Would you rather have some items offered every week or keep rotating the menu?
5. What suggestions do you have?
Thank you for your help to give us insight into making Chef Amy’s Farm Fresh Foods better and better!

Good morning! We’ve got a delicious menu this week! While the garden is slowing down a bit, we still have lots of peppers like our shishito and jalepeno. Grab a few of these for grilling!
p. I was able to catch the predator that has been attacking my hens and eating the eggs – a raccoon! I’m hoping he’s the only culprit, but keeping the trap set just in case.
p. Our peacock has shed his feathers, so his beautiful plumes are availble again.
p. This is the last week before school will start next week. Can you believe we’re there already??!!! That being said, I know several customers may have their last vacations scheduled, or events on the weekend. If you know that you will not be able to pick up your order on Saturday, just let me know and I can hold it until Sunday. I prefer that you receive your items the freshest they can be!
p. Looking for a great snack that holds up in the heat? Try Golden Goddess Granola! I keep a bag in my greenhouse while working outside. A bottle of my switchel and a handful of granola gives me a boost of energy to keep going. My favorite is Lemon Blueberry! It’s also great topped on yogurt for lunch or over ice cream!
Brown Bakehouse will be coming back next week with a couple of her sourdough boules!!
Have a great week!

It has not been the best year for farming here. We continue to have invaders in the garden, and hen house. I’m hoping to catch the fox this week, but now the deer have gotten brazen and hopped the fences into the garden to graze on a lot of green tomatoes, beans, okra and greens. It has been so frustrating!
On a good note, we have had a wonderful year for blueberries and pears. I will be canning blueberry and pear jam, and using a few pears in bread this week.
a special thanks to Lori H for donating several cartons of her farm fresh eggs for us to sell! There are still some in the farmstand today!
An update on my grandson…. Bo came through surgery very well and is now home recovering!!!! We are so thankful that prayers were answered!!! He still may have some milestones to cross before we can say he is 100% better, but for now he is doing well!
Have a great week,

We are back this week with some delicious option with ingredients from the farm. Tomatoes are coming in, okra, beans, cucumbers, eggplant, and lots of herbs. The chickens have slowed down on laying in the heat and we’ve had a few predators we have been battling so we are down several hens. Eggs will be a bit scarce for a while.
This week my grandson, Bo, goes in for surgery. Prayers appreciated for a successful procedure!!
Thanks for supporting our farm!

Reminder
Just a reminder that we are closed this week!
Have a fabulous Independence Day!! We’ll be back the following week!
This Week at the Market
Summer heat has already taken a toll on the garden. I am watering every day, but some of the plants are still getting stressed. Squash bugs have taken advantage of that so we are slowed down on summer squash for now until I replant. Pray for rain!!!
Tomatoes are beginning to ripen! I have cherry types and smaller plum and others coming in so those will go into the stand as they are picked.
As some of you know, my daughter runs the sourdough side of the market as Brown Bakehouse. My grandson was born with a condition that would require surgery and that time has come upon us. Baby Bo will go in for the procedure in July and will require some time in the hospital and recovery at home. We don’t know exactly what the care requirements will be yet, so this week will be the last until probably the end of July for sourdough orders.
I will also be taking a vacation next week so there will be no market July 1st- 7th. The farm stand will still be running with the help of my son and a garden helper.
Have a great week! And thank you for supporting our famr business!

I hope all the Father’s had a wonderful weekend full of fun and laughter! It sure was a hot one! This Friday is officially summer and it is here in extreme heat! We really could use some rain to get those tomatoes going! I have been watering so they helped along.
We have beans, cucumbers, squash and peppers coming in and some cherry tomatoes so look for those in the stand! The onions are almost cured, so they are out as well.
As for our other market products, I highly recommend McKinnon’s Cocktail kits! In the heat, I love a margarita and the Jalepeno Pineapple makes a great one!
Grilling burgers? Try Brown Bakehouse Sourdough Burger Buns!
For snacking, I am loving Goodness Gracious Granola when I’m too busy to come in and eat.
Need hydration? Try our healthy Switchel for a natural option! On sale this week for $2.75 for an 8oz jar.
Have a great week and stay cool!

We’ll have quarts of Garlic Dill Chips available, and if time allows we may get some more varieties done as well. The rest of the onions wil be harvested this week. Some will be for sale fresh and the rest will go into the barn for curing.
Peaches are winding down and berries are up next! Don’t worry, tomatoes will be around the corner, too!

The market is open and there’s lots of goodness for you to try. Cucumber, beans and squash arein and those tomatoes are looming in the coming weeks!
Don’t you love this time of year where fresh produce grazes our tables?!
Peaches are still coming in so I see another week of those in the stand.
As always, I welcome container returns and will give credits for future orders. I specifically need the Ball jars and black plastic salad containers. If I miss a bag of your returns, just note “returned containers” on your order.
Thank you! Have a great week!
