New Vendor!

The market welcomes Matthew & Denise  of G Chandler Candles! They are a Jasper, Georgia based company that produces high quality, hand-poured wooden wick soy candles. No additives or color dyes They have a retail jar line and an “up-cycled” wine/liquor bottle line as well that allows them to craft unique and one-of-a-kind candles for custom orders and special gifts.
Take a look at what they have for us available this week!
I can’t wait to sit on my porch, sip a glass of wine after a long day in the garden and light my G Chandler Candle!

Spring flowers!

Welcome spring! I am loving all the color on the farm this week! The Bradford pears lining our driveway are spectacular, the peach and plum trees have bloomed and the bulb garden is so fragrant and pretty! Now comes the green pollen explosion.
Enjoy our market offerings this week and if you have special requests for Easter, just let me know!
Thank you,
Farmher Chef Amy

Getting Greener!

Despite the cold evenings, the daytime warm temps are bringing spring flowers, budding trees, and waking all of life here in Georgia. This week we had our chicks hatch – new life begins again for the coops! The seed trays are thriving and we’re gearing up for a great growing season.
Easter is around the corner so I’ve added our annual Easter Lamb Cake for you to see. It comes on a platter surrounded by green paper “grass” and little chocolate candy eggs. A great centerpiece!
For those of you that have been bringing back your jars and egg cartons – THANK YOU!!!
Have a great week everyone!

Weblog Entry

Are you enjoying this warm weather? Me too!! We are busy here on the farm trying to get ahead of the growth explosion. While there is a lot going on outside, inside we have seeds sprouting and the incubator has baby chicks hatching soon!
Creekview’s FFA had a strawberry sale which came in today. There will be fresh jam available and a strawberry vanilla bread made from our own homemade vanilla that has been extracting since last year.
This weekend should be sunny so the farmstand will be open as well.

Thank you for supporting from our market!

Warm Weather this week?!?!

We’ve been busy here at the farm! Thank you to those who use my culinary skills for catering to your family’s needs! I served four families this week, and still managed to get more work done in the garden and clearing for more vegetable beds to be created. The warm weather this coming week will keep me very busy outside. Yay, warmer weather!!
If you follow us on Facebook, you can see pictures as I go through the week and post our progress.
Thank you for your support! The market is now open for ordering throufh Wednesday evening and pick up is on Saturdays.
If there’s something you’d like to see in the market this year, just let me know – we’re here to serve you!
Have a great week.

Rainy Weeks

I hope you are all staying dry while we endure more cold and wet weather! I am working in the garden to prepare beds and get early spring planting done between the rains. I put a hundred onion starts in the ground and have carrots and peas up next to go in. Seed trays are looking lush under the grow lights. I’ve also loaded the incubator with chicken and duck eggs so we have lots going on behind the scenes!
Don’t forget to check out Clean Mountain Mama’s wonderful cleaning products. I’ve used the clothes detergent, softener, dryer ball spray, and detergent pods – they are all Farmher Chef Amy recommended!
Have a great week!

We welcome Clean Mountain Mama to the market! She produces hypoallergenic home cleaning products in recycled containers. The best part is you can choose from a list of wonderful scents to customize to your liking!

Have a great week!

February!

Good Morning!
February is here and we are a little closer to spring. Any guesses on what the groundhog will say tomorrow?
This week we have Hungarian Mushroom and Turmeric Vegetable Soups, and Oatmeal Fig Bars that are new. Springwood Cashmere Farm added her lotions to the market lineup. They are all natural and you have your choice of scents.
Veggies are slow in the garden. We are letting the greens take a break for a couple weeks so they have a chance to grow in a bit more. Then I will harvest and turn those beds over with amendments to prepare for spring. The rest of the beds got a few loads of manure and will be ready for early sown spring veggies.
Remember to place your orders by Wednesday evening for Saturday pick up. Prior pickup may be arranged as well during winter months.
Thank you for shopping with us!
